Get ready to change the way you look at our products. Starting August 1, you can scan the Stampin’ Up! Interactive icon in the holiday catalog using your smartphone or tablet, and you’ll unlock videos that show our products in action. Now how cool is that!
This feature uses augmented reality technology, and if you’re familiar with that, you know that it’s all about innovative interactive experiences. Because this is Stampin’ Up!’s first shot at augmented reality, they’re keeping the experience very simple—dipping their toes in the water, so to speak. It is initially being tried in the United States and Canada (not including Quebec). They’ll evaluate it after a few months to see if this is an effective tool for you, and if it is, they may make it available in future catalogs and include more sophisticated experiences.
One thing to note is that augmented reality videos are typically very short—around 30 seconds. So in keeping with the augmented reality experience, the videos that you can access when you scan the Stampin’ Up! Interactive icon are shorter versions of the videos that will be available on the website.
When the holiday catalog becomes available, I will let you in on this awesome feature—the videos link directly to the online store so you can buy the product, and you can also share your favorite new products on social media. It’s a great reason to talk to you who haven’t ordered in a while: not only can I show you a new catalog full of fabulous products, I can also show you a fun way of learning more about those products. Those of you who are tech-savvy will be especially interested in this interactive feature and you will share it with your family and friends, and who knows—that might pique your interest in Stampin’ Up! products and help me to meet new customers.
Stay tuned for more updates!
